Dining

Sit back, unwind to the rhythm of the rails and enjoy a meal beyond your expectations! Seated in one of the train's beautifully restored dining cars at traditional tables for four, or specially priced tables for two, the five course meal and impeccable service allow guests to dine against a backdrop of ever changing scenery.

The Restoration

Owners Lance Burak and Leslie Holloway along with the help of their chef, Doug Trulson and numerous other friends and family have done the restoration work of their rail cars. Creative thinking, major problem solving, long hours and lots of sweat have created the beautiful consist of the Cafe Lafayette Dinner Train. Highlighted here are pictures of the "Granite Eagle" restored during the winter of 1996 in the engine house of the Hobo Railroad, Lincoln, NH.

The Route

Enjoy a scenic dinner train ride along the fields and forests of the Pemigewasset River and travel through the award winning Jack O'Lantern Golf Resort in the heart of the White Mountain Region of New Hampshire. The train travels rain or shine and is equipped with 6000 watts of halogen floodlights to illuminate the outside scenery for excellent viewing all season long.
